MFI 2013 volunteer award nominees and recipients

The Medfield Foundation, Inc. (MFi) annually recognizes by name as its "Volunteers of the Year," those individual volunteers whose extraordinary efforts and activities have made a special marked difference in the quality of life in Medfield. The volunteer recognition reception was at The Center at Medfield from 4:00 - 6:00 PM on March 10, 2013, and was sponsored by the generosity of the Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation.

The Volunteers of the Year were suggested by nominations submitted by the public, and the choices are based solely on the information submitted. Past volunteers who were recognized are listed and described below. At the reception, the MFi honored all the volunteers, including the Volunteer of the Year, the Youth Volunteer of the Year, and the "Lifetime Achievement Award" winners.

Youth Volunteer of the Year:

Emily Monac for her therapeutic horseback riding work at BiNA Farm
Katrina Simon for her work with the Massachusetts Alzheimer's Association
